Creating a Client Feedback Guide in Notion (+Free Template)
Let's talk about the refinement stage of our client projects.
We all have that stage where we're asking clients for feedback on the work we've done. It's an essential step in the process to ensure that the project is aligned with the client's expectations.
But as you know, getting helpful feedback from clients can be a bit of a challenge.
They don't know our business like we do, which can make communication difficult.
One thing that helped me was creating a Notion feedback guide that I can now share with my clients during their refinement rounds.
In this video, I'll walk you through my client feedback guide in Notion and walk you through the steps of creating your own.

Why a Client Feedback Guide is Important
A feedback guide can help you support your clients in providing constructive feedback, which can minimize emails and calls back and forth. With a feedback guide, you can set clear expectations for the type of feedback you're looking for, making it easier for clients to provide helpful feedback. It can also help you keep your project on track and ensure that you meet or exceed your client's expectations.
How to Create a Client Feedback Guide in Notion
To create a feedback guide in Notion, follow these steps:
Create a new page in Notion.
Add a welcome message at the top of the page.
Provide clear instructions on when feedback is due.
Include some general guidelines, such as:
Refer to the brief and deliverables.
Make sure your feedback is in alignment with what the project was set out to accomplish.
Be honest but constructive.
Be specific and provide screenshots or examples.
Be clear on specific elements if you require changes.
Provide examples and keep your ideal client in mind.
Add some key questions, such as:
Who is your target audience?
What's the problem that we're trying to solve?
What's the desired outcome?
What emotion are we trying to evoke?
What are the key deliverables and criteria?
Provide examples of feedback and how to improve it. For instance, instead of saying "I don't like the design," provide specific examples of what needs to be changed and why.
