How To Use The Announcement Bar In Squarespace
Quick note: I use affiliate links on this website. This means if you click and purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
When you sign up for a Squarespace business or commerce plan, one of the neat little marketing features included is the Announcement bar. When enabled, it appears at the top of your website on both desktop and mobile, and is a great way to attract your visitor’s attention with a clear call to action.
Not a lot of people fully utilise their Squarespace Announcement Bar. Sometimes because they don’t know it exists or because they aren’t quite sure what to do with it.
Either way, it’s time to fix that so you can start converting more leads and sales with this feature.
Setting Up Your Squarespace Announcement Bar
You can find this by going to Marketing > Announcement Bar.
Here you can turn your bar on by clicking the dropdown and selecting ‘Enable Announcement Bar’.
Now type in a clear, enticing call to action. (More on that in a minute)
Now enter the link where you’d like to direct traffic too.
This is typically a sales or landing page.
Click Save.
Now you know how to add your announcement bar, let’s talk about the clever ways you can use it.
